Ms. Carrie Mae Jones - Savannah -Ms. Carrie Mae Jones, 71, had her transition Sunday, December 17, 2006 at Hospice Savannah, Inc. A native of Spring Island, SC, she attended the public schools of Jasper County. Ms. Jones was a faithful member of Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church where she served on the Usher Board, She was a Domestic Engineer in various jobs. Her parents Joseph and Blanch Jones preceded her in death. Survivors: sister, Evelyn Hamilton of Bluffton, SC; three brothers, Benjamin (Ethel) Jenkins of Bluffton, SC, Melvin (Vivian) Jones, and Prince Jones, all of Baltimore, MD; loving and devoted cousin and care giver, Thelma Sims of Savannah; cousin, Dorothy Bryant of SC; uncles, Harold Mitchell of Savannah and Bennie Mitchell of Okatie, SC; a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral service will be held 12 Noon, Thursday, December 21, 2006 at Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church, 508 E. Jones St., Rev. Willie C. Rice, Jr., Pastor. In state: 9 a.m., until hour of service.
