-> Carrie E. Brown, 94, died Saturday, September 27, 2003 at Memorial Health University Medical Center. She was a native of Glynn County, GA, and lived in Savannah most of her life. She was a member of the United House of Prayer for All People where she served in the Praise Band #1 and #2. She was preceded by her husband, James Elder Brown, Sr. and children, James Elder Brown, Jr., Jessie Mae Tillman, Elizabeth Verdell and Izetta Yvonne Brown. Survivors: five sons, Robert Elmore (Martha) Brown of Springfield, GA, Charles O. (Marie) Brown of Savannah, Joseph L. (Henrietta) Brown of Brooklyn NY, Sylvester Earl (Loretta) Brown of Brooklyn, NY, and Eugene E. (Verna) Brown of Miami, FL.; seven daughters, Carrie Cason of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, Zella (Robert) Watson of Savannah, Celia (Artis) McCullar of Miami, FL, Elizabeth V. Brown of Savannah, Jeannette (Willie) Howard of Miami, FL, Madeline M. Brown of San Diego, CA, and Izetta Yuvonne Brown of Savannah; 55 grandchildren, 70 great-grandchildren, 44 great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
