MacDONALD, Carolyn Louise (nee Swaney) February 21, 1929 - June 22, 2010 Carolyn passed away peacefully at home in Vancouver. Predeceased by her daughter Ruth. She will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by Norbert, her husband of 58 years, daughter Laura, granddaughters Cara and Aidan, son-in-law Murphy Farrell and partner Cindy and her son Eli, brother Robert, as well as many friends and former colleagues. Carolyn worked for some years doing research with Electron Microscopes. She enjoyed cycling, skiing, gardening, and tennis. She was an avid reader, participating in the same book group for 30 years. Her passion was music. She sang in choirs, played viola in chamber music groups and played piano duets with friends. She was always ready to learn whether it was a recipe or a new electronic device - Carolyn was always up for the challenge. A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 pm, Friday, July 9, 2010 at West Point Grey United Church - 4595 West 8th Avenue.
