Carolyn Jackson Bailey, 64, of Florence, Ala., died Monday, Feb. 9, 2004, after a lengthy, courageous battle. The funeral will be Thursday, Feb. 12, 2004, at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Florence, with burial in Tri-Cities Memorial Gardens.Officiating at the funeral will be Father Andy Sullivan.She was a resident of Florence.She is survived by daughter, Pamela Bailey Hardin, Florence; mother, Bertha Mae Jackson, Florence; brothers, Tony Jackson, Oxon Hill, Md., Charles (Jeanette) Jackson, Florence; grandsons, Matthew Hardin, Alexander Hardin; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.She was preceded in death by her father, Charlie Jackson.She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Florence, the Tennessee State Alumni Chapter and retired teacher of the Florence school system.In lieu of flowers, make contributions to the Heart Association and the Kidney Foundation.Thompson and Son Funeral Home is directing.
