Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. today in the chapel of Collier-Butler Funeral Home for Mrs. Carolyn Carden Smith, 55, Gadsden, who passed away Wednesday, Nov. 14, 2007. The Rev. Bobby J. Winningham will officiate. Burial will be in Crestwood Cemetery. Collier-Butler Funeral Home will direct.She was a native and lifelong resident of Gadsden. She was a member of Damascus Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Edward Smith.Mrs. Smith is survived by sons, John Brady Smith, Eric Wayne Smith and Alan Keith Smith; grandchildren, Austin, Hayden, Haley, Dakota, Preston, Brittany and Kaitlin; brother, Carl B. (Cynthia) Carden Jr.; and several nieces and nephews.Pallbearers will be Kevin Stephens, Cody Tanner, Mike and Chris Carden.
