Caroline Faith Hardee Anderson Caroline Faith Hardee Anderson, a native of Florida, died Tuesday, May 5, 2009. She was born May 23, 1920, at 28 North 4th Street in Fernandina Beach, daughter of the late John R. Hardee and Ella Davis Hardee. She grew up in a large but close-knit group of family and friends whom she cherished throughout her life.After attending public schools in Fernandina Beach, she graduated from Florida Southern College. She married Theodore S. Anderson, also a native of Fernandina Beach, and raised two sons. Mrs. Anderson pursued graduate studies in Library Science at Florida State University. She retired to Fernandina Beach in 1985 after twenty years of employment at Leon County Public Library in Tallahassee.Her retirement was filled with travel, reading, and visits to family and friends. She enjoyed entertaining on her porch at 18 North 4th Street. She leaves behind, a son, Dr. Ted Anderson and his wife, Sara, of Asheboro, North Carolina; a son, Chad Anderson and his wife, Tammie, of Clover, South Carolina; four grandchildren, Megan Amelia Anderson of Charlotte, North Carolina, Lauren Content Anderson of Richmond, Virginia, Savannah Leigh Anderson of Clover, South Carolina, and Michael Chadwick Anderson of Clover, South Carolina; and a sister, Elizabeth Steele of Gastonia, North Carolina.Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 8, from the graveside in the Oak Grove Cemetery, St. Mary's, Georgia, with Pastors Brett Opalinski and Hollie Tapley officiating. A family luncheon will follow at 12:30 p.m. in Maxwell Hall of Memorial United Methodist Church in Fernandina Beach. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts to honor the life of Mrs. Anderson may be made to the Davis-Hardee Library Fund of Memorial United Methodist Church, 601 Centre Street, Fernandina Beach, FL 32034, or to an organization of the donor's choice.Please share her life story at www.oxleyheard.com .
