Obituary of Carole-P. Scott


Scott, Carole P., age 51 of Fort Lauderdale passed away after a brief illness on Wednesday, September 17, 2003. She grew up in Jamaica Plain and Needham, MA. Graduated Summa cum laude from Pace University in NY. Later moved to Bristol, RI and worked at the University of Rhode Island. She was an avid sailor and loved to race her boat, "Swift", on Narragansett Bay with her husband, Eric. She also loved fishing and was an expert on Japanese culture. She was a 9 year resident of Fort Lauderdale and worked for Broward County as Deputy Chief of Information. Carole was also involved in many community organizations including the United Way, the Red Cross, and very involved with the Girl Scouts. She is survived by her loving husband, Eric; daughter, Elizabeth; mother, Mary Steeves; sisters, Marie Moynihan and Ann (Larry Gelberg) Steeves; brothers, John (Rebecca) Steeves and Edward Steeves; and by many friends in Florida and New England. A memorial service will be held at Noon on Tuesday, September 23rd at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church in Davie. Carole was a major organ donor and a benefactor to at least 6 lives. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the American Cancer Society. Arrangements were made by: KRAEER FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION CENTER 4061 N. Federal Hwy., Ft.
