Smith, Carole E. RENSSELAER Carole E. Smith, 70, passed at home with her family at her side on Friday, October 23, 2009. Carole was a longtime employee of the Schodack Central School District, retiring in 1999. She was predeceased by her first husband, David A. Benjamin; her second husband, Roland E. Smith; her son, David A. Benjamin Jr.; and a brother, George Morin. Survivors include her longtime companion, John F. Dudley; daughters, Diane (Scott) Van De Wal and Deborah (Robert) Hammond, all of Castleton; a brother, James Morin of Va.; a sister, Gloria Wyman of Earlton, N.Y.; five grandchildren; two great-grand-children; several nieces and nephews. Family and friends are invited to attend her funeral 10:00 a.m. Monday, October 26, 2009 at the Ray Funeral Home, 59 Seaman Ave., Castleton, N.Y.
