Funeral Mass celebrating the life of Carole D. Smith, 74, Palm Coast, who died at home Sun., Nov. 25, 2007, will be 10:30 a.m. Thurs., Nov. 29, at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 4600 Belle Terre Pkwy., Palm Coast. Friends may visit Wednesday in the chapel of Craig-Flagler Palms Funeral Home, 511 Old Kings Road South, Flagler Beach, from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. and from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. with a prayer service at 7 p.m. Mrs. Smith was born May 24, 1933, in Washington, D.C., to the late Joseph and LuEllen Hodge and moved to Palm Coast from Breezewood, Pa., in 2001. She was a member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, The Pennsylvania Club, The Maryland Club, The Red Hat Society and The Knights of Columbus Auxiliary. Mrs. Smith enjoyed socializing with her family and friends. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. Mrs. Smith is survived by two daughters; Dale Savard and her husband, Brad, Palm Coast, and Catherine Insley and her husband, Kenneth, Upper Marlboro, Md.; two sons, Michael Smith, Palm Coast, and Robert Smith and his wife, Jan, Daytona Beach; sister, Barbara Wilson and her husband, Joseph, California, Md.; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. She was predeceased in 2002 by her husband, Ralph "Smitty." Arrangements are in the care and trust of Craig-Flagler Palms Funeral Home.
