CAROL MARIEPAYNE, 71Homemaker LAKELAND - Mrs. Carl Marie Payne, age 71, died Wednesday (Nov. 5, 2008) of heart failure. Born in Lakeland on June 10, 1937, she was a lifelong resident. She was a homemaker and a member of Southside Baptist Church. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Mrs. Payne was preceded in death by her father Hubert D. Harris; mother Beatrice Harris; sons Jerry Payne, and Randy Payne. She is survived by her son Ronnie Payne (Aileen), Lakeland, FL.; daughter Lisa D. Peeples (Darrell), Ft Myers, FL.; 8 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. at Lanier Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be in Oak Hill Burial Park.
