Carol Lynn Smith, 75, died Oct. 16, 2012. She was born in Evanston, Ill., and moved to Stuart in 1979. Survivors include her husband of 25 years, Dean Smith; daughters, Cathy Mitsch and Julie Hornacek, both of Stuart, Lori Davis of Port St. Lucie and Joni Clark of Murphy, N.C.; son, Steve Mitsch of Murphy, N.C.; mother, Vanetta Pearson of Stuart; sister, Marcia Stade of Richland Center, Wis.; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Services: A private memorial service will be held at her home.
