Carol J. Smith of Suffern, NY passed away peacefully December 29, 2008 at the age of 69. She was born January 11, 1939 in Fairlawn, NJ to Lyle and Rose Torrey. Carol will be remembered as a loving mother and grandmother and for her dedication to charitable causes. She was predeceased by her husband Joseph C. Smith Jr. and is survived by daughter Laureen and her husband John Aiello, her grand-daughters Ashley and Jessica, sister Phyllis Poemer, and brother Weston Torrey. Visitation will be held on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at Higgins Funeral Home, New City, NY.
