Carol J. HurleyTyngsboro teacher; 52 TEWKSBURY -- Carol "Judge" (Riddle) Hurley, age 52, a former member of the Tyngsboro School Department, died Saturday, November 17th, 2012, at her Tewksbury home, after a courageous four year battle with "Early Onset" Alzheimer's Disease.She was the beloved wife of John C. Hurley, with whom she had celebrated a 29th wedding anniversary this past August.She was born in Derry, NH, July 17, 1960, one of six children of Mary "Betty" (Cotter) Riddle of Billerica, and the late Edward Riddle. She was raised in Billerica, and was a member of Billerica High School's Class of 1978. She matriculated to Fitchburg State College and earned a B.S.Ed. in 1982.She worked as a teacher for 26 years in the Tyngsboro School System, until illness forced her early retirement in 2008.She was a communicant of St. William's Parish in Tewksbury, and a well known resident of the town since her move to the community in 1983.Besides her beloved husband and mother, she is survived by three sons, Patrick M. Hurley, Sean E. Hurley, and Daniel J. Hurley, all of Tewksbury; five siblings, Edward Riddle and his wife, Lorraine, Karen Heffernan and her husband, Peter, all of Billerica, Linda Persi and her husband, Rick of CA, Mary Yandow and her husband, Andy, Scott Riddle and his wife, Kristie, all of Billerica; many nieces, nephews, and friends throughout the area, including her best friend, Maura (Caveney) Maher of Bedford, NH.The Hurley family is not only very appreciative of the score of health professionals whom lovingly cared for Carol over the past four years, but also for all the friends and family who provided both companionship and meals throughout her illness.HURLEY -- of Tewksbury, Nov. 17.
