Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 9, 2009, at Little & Davenport Chapel for Mrs. Carol Dean Smith of Gainesville, who died Sunday, Dec. 6, 2009. The Rev. Dr. Tom Smiley and the Rev. Dr. Jerry Gill will officiate. Visitation will be at Little & Davenport Funeral Home on Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. Interment will follow in New Bridge Baptist Church Cemetery.The daughter of the late Frederick Mack and Mamie McDonald Gowder, she was a native of Hall County. Mrs. Smith was a homemaker and a member of Lakewood Baptist Church.
