Carol Davis, 64, of Cumming passed away Jan. 8, 2015. She was born July 13, 1950, in Macon to the late Hugh Brazell and Olevia Green Brazell. Carol grew up in Warner Robins where she graduated from Warner Robins High School. She went on to earn a Bachelor of Science degree from Auburn University as well as graduate degrees from Mercer University and Georgia Southwestern State University. She was married to Steve Davis on July 29, 1972. Carol served for many years as a dedicated kindergarten teacher and assistant principal for instruction for the Houston County School System. Following her retirement in 2010, Carol and Steve moved to Cumming. Carol was a member of North Lanier Baptist Church and the "On a Journey" Bible study class.In addition to her husband Steve, Carol is survived by daughter, Carrie Davis Grimes and her husband, Chris of Cumming; son, Brad Davis and his wife, Heather of Suwanee; sister, Gail Cochran and her husband, Billy of Blackshear; sister, Lynn Rader and her husband, Sonny of Lake Sinclair; sister, Cindy Munoz and her husband, Jay of Cary, Ill.; sister, Leslie Trescot and her husband, Steve of Darien; brother–in-law, Mike Davis and his wife, Sandy of Cumming; brother-in-law, Alan Davis and his wife, Sheryl of Forsyth; sister-in-law, Patty Purvis and her husband, Ricky of Madison; stepmother-in-law, Jo Davis of Warner Robins; stepbrother-in-law, Gary Shave and his wife, Shirley of Bonaire; and stepsister-in-law, Diann Mendel and her husband, Gary of Warner Robins; and much loved grandchildren Brian Grimes, Ellie Grimes, Benjamin Grimes, Andrew Davis, Rachel Grimes, Sarah Grimes and Emerson Davis.
