Obituary of Carol-Bacon Bishop


Bishop, Carol Bacon, 83 Ocala - Carol Bacon Bishop passed away on April 6, 2009 in Ocala, FL. Carol's battle with cancer is now over and she is peaceful in heaven. Carol Bishop was born on February 24, 1926 in Detroit, Michigan and was the first child of Carrol and Ruth Bacon. She lived in Detroit until the age of eight and then moved to the Bacon farm with her parents in Capac, MI. She was an avid 4-H member who won many awards and a scholarship to Michigan State University. She married Jack Bishop from Almont, MI in 1945 and they had six children. Carol and Jack lived an adventurous life. They lived in Bolivia, South America on a cattle ranch for a number of years. After the death of her husband she came back to the states and settled in Ocala, FL. She is survived by a brother, Frank Bacon (Charlotte), Port Huron, MI, a sister Kathryn McGhee, Nashua, NH, six children, Jack Bishop Jr. (Diana) of Harbor Springs, MI, Robin Manning (Russel Wallis) of Holly, MI, John Bishop (Kim) of Vassar, MI, Jamie Iannarelli (Doug) of Ocala, FL, Joseph Bishop (Connie) of Caro, MI, Jill Andia (Luis) of Santa Cruz, Bolivia, thirteen grandchildren, and nine great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Bishop. She will be missed by all. Memorial services will be held in Michigan at a later date.
