Obituary of Carol Anderson

Carol Anderson - It is with much sadness that we announce the passing of Carol Anderson, on February 12, 2016, in Vancouver, BC. She is survived by her sister, Shirley Mayhew, and close extended family. She rejoins her late siblings, Mary Shaak and Charles Anderson. Born in Windsor, Ontario on September 17, 1936, Carol trained as a registered nurse in London, ON and subsequently went west for work: first to Peace River, AB and then to Vancouver, BC, where she made her home. Carol enjoyed travelling all over the world, and staying in touch with lifelong nursing friends. Upon retirement, Carol found her calling to the church, publicly committing her life to Christ through baptism on June 20, 2010 at First Baptist Church. She enjoyed a very full life devoted to Christ amongst friends within the loving community of First Baptist. The memorial for Carol will be held on Wednesday, March 2nd at 1:30pm at First Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to "First Steps", a Christian organization committed to preventing child malnutrition in North Korea through programs that provide essential nutrients. http://www.firststepscanada.org/donate. Since Carol's death, the family has been deeply touched by the many messages of support they have received from Carol's friends and former colleagues. The common thread is how much they appreciated Carol as a person of humility, generosity of spirit, and humour. She will be deeply missed by all.
