Carol A. Cowan-Thomas of Edison, N.J., passed away on Jan. 18, 2014. The funeral service is on Saturday at 11 a.m. at Cotton Funeral Service, 130 Main St., Orange, N.J. Interment is at Rosedale Cemetery, Orange. Visitation is Saturday from 10 to 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Mrs. Cowan-Thomas was the wife of the late Bishop Caldwell Thomas, and cherished mother of Lance Cowan. She is also survived by her dear granddaughter, Lisa Cowan, and a host of other relatives, church family, and friends.
