Obituary of Carl-Robert Williams


Carl Robert Williams, age 68, of Davis Bridge Road, Gainesville, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 30, 2007, at his residence following a brief illness. Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 2, 2007, in the chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with burial to follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. The Rev. Joey Yeary will officiate. The family will receive friends from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 1, 2007, at the funeral home. Mr. Williams was born in Murphy, N.C., to the late Larie Williams and Mary (Martin) Williams. He was a truck driver for 48 years, of which 17 years was for Wal-Mart and four years for Heartland Express. He was preceded in death by his parents. He was of the Baptist faith. Mr. Williams is survived by his wife, Tina (Bohanna) Williams; sons, Ricky Williams, Ronnie Williams and Randy Williams, all of Gainesville, and Cory Williams, Valdosta; daughter, Candi Williams, Valdosta; sisters, Blanche Mooney, Oakwood, Ethel and Jim Mauldin, Gainesville, Linda and Gordon Copeland, Dahlonega, and Margaret and Ronnie Harkins, Gainesville; brother, Michael and Mary Jo Williams, Lenoir, N.C.; eight grandchildren; five stepgrandchildren; and several stepgreat-grandchildren.
