BARRE - Caren Lynn Davis, 53, died Tuesday, Feb. 22, 2011, at her residence. Born March 13, 1957, in Houston, she was the daughter of Donald L. and Louise (Greer) Davis. She attended schools in the Houston area. She had worked for the Vermont Department of Motor Vehicles on the modernization team. Music was important to her. Survivors include two sons, Ricky Davis and Donald Smedley, both of Barre; a daughter, Geneva Smedley, of Waterbury Center; a sister, Caye Andrews, of Waterloo, Ill.; and her mother, of St. Louis, Mo. She was predeceased by her father, a sister, Susan Davis, and a son, James Smedley.
