CANTERBURY -- Cynthia Anderson, 75, died Feb. 14, 2010. She was born in Morristown, N.J. in 1934 and moved to Webster in 1937. She received her nursing degrees from Newton-Wellesley Hospital and St. Anselm College. While a resident of Canterbury, she still owned a part of her family's farm in Webster. She loved music, dancing, the ocean and her flower garden, which was depicted on the front page of the Concord Monitor on May 9, 2006. The gardens in front of her house were landmarks in Webster and she was never happier than when she had soil on her hands. Late in her life, she fell in love with Hugh Fifield in Canterbury, who was her constant companion and they were a gift from God to one another. Family members, in addition to her beloved Hugh, include sons Kevin of Canterbury and Mark of New Boston, four grandchildren; and one great-grandson. SERVICES: Calling hours are Friday from 5 to 8 p.m. at Wendell Butt Funeral Home in Penacook. A memorial service is Saturday, March 20, at 11 a.m. at Webster Congregational Church with a lunch reception to follow at Webster Town Hall. Memorial donations may be made to Concord Regional Visiting Nurse's Hospice House in Concord.
