MOSCOW -- Colette E. Paquet, 81, died Wednesday, Aug. 21, 2013, at her home in Moscow. She was born Dec. 28, 1931 in St. Zacharie, Quebec, to Archelas and Rose-Aimee (Fortier) Morin.Colette has been a resident of Moscow for many years. She was a homemaker, cook, seamstress and loved gardening. She welcomed her grandchildren and their friends with open arms. She was known as "Ma" to many. She enjoyed feeding people. Nothing would please her more than to see her grandchildren happy and with a full belly. The holidays (no matter which one), were always very special. She would decorate the house and cook up a storm and made sure every grandchild received something no matter how old they were -- their friends as well if they were present. Growing up, everyone in the neighborhood knew where the cookies were. She was loved by all and will be sadly missed by all. She was predeceased by her husband, Alfred Paquet, a son Jean-Claude Paquet, and two daughters, Celine and Caroline Paquet.She is survived by a daughter, Nancy King, of Moscow; granddaughter Tonia Paquet-Hawes, of Benton; grandsons Nicholas Paquet, of East Benton, Daniel Kiger, of Brunswick, and Nathan Kiger, of Starks; great-grandchildren Ashley McGowan, Maddison Beaulieu, Taylor Paquet, Riley Paquet, Hunter Paquet and Jocelyn Kiger; great-great-grandson Austin McGowan; siblings Gervais Morin, Lucille Morin and Roger Morin, and several nieces and nephews.A graveside service will be held in St. Zacharie in mid- to late- October and will be announced at that time.
