SMITH, CHESTER R., 85 of Lake Alfred, FL died February 5, 2014 in Auburndale, FL. He was born in Elkhart, IN. A veteran of W.W. II, serving with the U.S. Army. Chester was a retired truck driver and had resided in Tampa moving to Sebring where he resided from 1979-2009. Former member of Sebring Lions Club and was a member of Gods Tabernacle of Praise. He was preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn Smith and a daughter, Melody Lawson. He is survived by his wife, Martha H. Smith, Auburndale; daughter, Linda (Robert) Smith, Sebring; son, Chester James Smith, Tampa; stepchildren, Martha (Alfonso) Gonzalez, Lake Alfred, FL, Linda (Leon) Rosas, Auburndale, FL, Evon (Primo) Gonzalez, Houston, TX, Robert (Pam) Camp, Bessimer, AL, Diane Gomez, Auburndale and Carl Walford, Georgia; sister, Helen Treat, Mountain Home, AR; five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
