JENKINS, CHARLES LEE - age 64 of Knoxville passed away Friday, January 30 at a local hospital. He was born in Knoxville on June 9, 1950 to the late Oscar Lee and Mary Ruth Callahan Jenkins. He was of the Baptist faith who believed in the Lord. He was a handyman who could fix anything and was always available to help others. His family describes him as "The Rock". His life revolved around his grandbabies especially little Isaac, his sleeping buddy. Charles will be greatly missed, he already is. Mr. Jenkins is survived by step-mother Martha Jenkins, a son; Charles (Pud) Jenkins, three daughters; Wendy Jenkins, Nikki Jenkins and Tricia Jenkins Paul all of Mascot. Additional survivors include a sister; Patricia Gaddis of Mascot, two brothers; Glen Jenkins of Mascot and James Monday of Knoxville. There are many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins who also survive Charles. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, February 3, 5:00-7:00 PM at Bridges Funeral Home, 5430 Rutledge Pike, Knoxville with a funeral service to follow at 7 o'clock PM. Family and friends will meet Wednesday, February 4, 2015 at 10:45 a.m. at Woodlawn Cemetery for an 11:00 AM graveside service.
