Funeral service for Charles "Buddy" Clark of Port Orange who passed away peacefully on Sunday December 4, 2011 will be held Friday December 9, 2011 at 10:00 am at Dale Woodward Funeral Home, 167 Ridgewood Ave. Holly Hill with Rev. Larry Deitch officiating. Interment will follow at Pigrims Rest Cemetery. Friends wishing to call and pay their respects may do so Thursday from 6:00 until 8:00 pm at the funeral home. Buddy was the son of Curtis and Clara Clark of Port Orange. He had lived in the Daytona area since 1959. Buddy attended Mainland High School and then served his country in the Army Air Force. Buddy was in pipe laying and a construction foreman after military service. He was a volunteer for the Port Orange Police with his brother Phillip Clark and a good friend Roger Tucci. Buddy loved old cars and racing. He was active in the Living Legends and Daytona Street Rods and showed his '55 Chevy many years. He also followed NASCAR with a passion. Buddy also loved oldies music, helping his friend "Rocking Roger" Tucci with his shows. Buddy was always known for lending a helping hand. Buddy is survived by his son William Curtis Clark (Erin Michele Carroll); daughter Rita Ann Swain (Robert); his former wife and best friend Joan Brennan; brothers, Curtis Alvin Clark, Jr., Freddy Eugene Clark, Donald Ray Clark; sisters, Mary Ledoux, Peanut Malphurs (John), and Annette Texter; and numerous nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his parents and a brother Phillip Clark.
