Obituary of Charlene-Ruth Miller

MILLER, CHARLENE RUTH, 85 Ocala - Charlene Miller passed away peacefully on November 24, 2014 of complications from Alzheimer's disease. A daughter of Earl and Nora Rankin, she was born in Orbisonia, Pennsylvania on December 7, 1928. She married Leroy 'Roy' Miller on June 2, 1945. He was the love of her life and her devoted husband for 69 years. Called 'Chi' by her siblings and 'Char' by her friends, she moved from Pittsburgh to Orlando after the birth of her first grandchild in 1970. She was a feisty redhead with a real zeal for life. She overcame a brain aneurysm at the age of 45 to live a full life. She loved traveling, going to the beach, sipping a glass or two of chardonnay, and spending time with her family and friends. She is survived by her husband Roy, her daughter Sherrie Olejnik (Steve), her son Danny Miller; three grand children, Kama Nist, Jennifer Fenell (Eric), and Dustin Miller (Nicole); three great-grand children, Sienna Fenell, Drew Fenell, and Zoey Miller, and two of her 12 siblings. The family would like to thank Darlene for helping care for Charlene over the past two years and for the loving care she received from Legacy House during the last week of her life. A celebration of her life will be held on December 14 at noon at Hiers Baxley Funeral Services 910 E. Silver Springs Blvd. Ocala, FL. (352) 629-7171.
