Cecil A. "Jacko" Jackson of Tomkins Cove and formerly of Piermont died on January 2 at Nyack Hospital. He was 74. Mr. Jackson, a business consultant, was born in London, England and educated at the St. Dunstan's School. He also held a Master's Degree in Business from Columbia University. A life-long rugby player and enthusiast, he was a co-founder of the Manhattan Rugby Club, multi-term president of the Metropolitan New York Rugby Union, served as a Selector for the USA-East RFU All-Star Squad, and deemed by many "The man who opened the spirits of many players to this great game". Survivors include a daughter, Gillian Jackson-Champlain of New York City and two sons, Toby Jackson of San Francisco and Timothy Jackson of Sparkill. A Memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 6 at noon at Hannemann's Funeral Home in Nyack. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent to the Piermont Public Library.
