Funeral services for Cathy Mims Henderson, 59, were Monday, at 2 p.m. at Usrey Funeral Home Chapel. Burial was in Pine Hill Cemetery. Mrs. Henderson passed away Sunday, August 28, 2011. Cathy was an Alabama native and a long time resident of Talladega. She was a pianist at several churches in the Talladega area for a number of years. She was a Jacksonville State University Alumnus. She was a therapeutic foster care parent and devoted much of her life to helping emotional disturbed children. She is preceded in death by her parents, W.P. and Jean Mims; brother, Keith Mims. Her survivors include her children; James McKinnon, Katrina Tilley; sister, Sandra Biddy (Norman); nieces, Carol Magnus and Sarah Welbourne and nephew Richard Keener Barnes.
