Catherine Mahoney, loving wife, mother and grandmother, of Valley Cottage, NY, died on September 1, 2007. She was 83 years old. Catherine was born on October 20, 1923 to Francis and Sarah Quinn. She has been a resident of Valley Cottage since 1979. She was a graduate of Mt. St. Vincent's College class of 1946, and was employed as a registered nurse for many years. Catherine was a devout member of St. Paul's RC Church in Congers. She is survived by her husband, Cornelius Mahoney of Valley Cottage, NY; three daughters, Eileen M. Mahoney of Stony Point, Maureen Gordon of Westfield, NJ, and Catherine M. Mahoney of Nyack, NY; one son, James G. Mahoney of Valley Cottage; and two granddaughters. A Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, September 8, 2007, at 11 am, at St. Paul's RC Church in Congers. Interment will follow at Gethsemane Cemetery in Rockland Lake, NY.
