Carolyn Jones Smith, 74, of 14 Princeton Ave., Greenville, died December 11, 2004, at St. Francis Hospital, Downtown. Born in Greenville, she was a daughter of the late William Stanley and Mauvareen Stevens Jones. Prior to her retirement, she was a bookkeeper for Nunnery Accounting, and was a member of Francis Asbury United Methodist Church. Surviving are her husband of 53 years, L. Kenneth Smith of the home; four sons, Kenneth Smith Jr. and his wife, Lisa, of Simpsonville, Stanley William Smith and his wife, Jimmie, of Greenville, Phil Smith and his wife, Susan, of Phoenix, Ariz., and Howard Smith of Mauldin; two grandchildren, Matt and Kenlea Smith; and a sister, Barbara Nunnery of Greenville. Memorials may be made to Francis Asbury United Methodist Church.Funeral services will be held today at 2:00 p.m. at Francis Asbury United Methodist Church, with visitation prior, from 12:30 to 1:45 p.m., at the church.
