SMITH, CAROLE LORRAINE - age 53, passed away on February 27, 2014. She was a lifelong Presbyterian who was loved by many. She enjoyed cooking, being outdoors and traveling to the beach. Her favorite part of life was spending time with family, especially her sisters, and her practical jokes will never be forgotten. Carole was preceded in death by her father, Ronald Pollard; and grandparents, Floyd and Mildred Pollard and Floyd and Mildred Bradburn. She is survived by and will be greatly missed by her husband of 34 years, Scott; children, Lexie (Rusty) Phillips, Andy Smith; grandson, Cameron Phillips; mother, Jane Pollard Pipkin; step father, Sam Pipkin; sisters, Susan (Mac) Brister, Deborah (Butch) Cooper, Rebecca (Tom) Schneider; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, and nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at Gentry Griffey Funeral Chapel on Sunday, March 2, from 4:00 - 6:00 p.m. The funeral will follow at 6:00 p.m., with the Rev. Fran Vickers and Rev. Dr. Thomas Sweet officiating. A graveside service will be held at Greenwood Cemetery on Monday, March 3rd, at 11:00 am.
