Carol Ann Petty O'Keefe, 70, of Tucson, AZ, died on May 24th after a battle with bladder cancer. Carol graduated from A.B. Davis High School in Mount Vernon, New York and received her MSW degree from Roger Williams University in Providence, RI. She married James R. O'Keefe also of Mount Vernon and moved to Worcester, Massachusetts. Ms. O'Keefe worked as a social worker at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center. Carol always had the "heart" of an artist so she eventually gave up social work and moved to Wilmington, NC where she opened a flower shop. She then moved to Bisbee, Arizona where she had an art studio and an antiques shop. Wanting to be closer to her family, Carol moved to Virginia where she continued to paint and sell antiques. Her final move was to Tucson as a retiree. Carol's survivors are her two sons, Terence Michael O'Keefe of Culver City, CA.and James Christopher O'Keefe of Richmond VA and her siblings Katherine Janet Petty of Wilmington N.C, and George William Petty of Jefferson, GA. A private service was held for Carol.
