Lee, Byford Thomas, died suddenly on May 12, 2008 in Florida. Formerly of E. Patchogue, NY. Byford (Butch) attended West Virginia Tech and was a surveyor for the Operating Engineers Union #15, New York and most recently worked part-time with Enterprise Rental Car. He was an avid scuba diver and a member of the South Florida and Long Island, NY Scuba Clubs. Butch will be dearly missed by family and friends. Beloved son of the late Byford Thomas and Nancy Lee (Gillespie). Dear brother of Patricia Sweeney of Patchogue, Thomas Lee of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, and Suzanne Auer of Mattituck. Cherished uncle of Dr. Ron Lee of Tennessee, Shawn Lee of Miami, Margaret Everett of San Diego and the late Patricia (Tricia) Sweeney of Pennsylvania, Jeffrey Auer of Massachusetts, Heidi Stone of Texas, Heather Sluyters of Mattituck, Erik Auer of Southhold, Hayley Gross of Riverhead; and 15 grandnieces and nephews. Reposing Sunday 2-4 and 7-9pm at Robertaccio Funeral Home, 85 Rte 112, Patchogue. Monday 10am Service at the funeral home. Interment Oaklawn Cemetery, Brookhaven, NY. A memorial will be held June 21, 7-9PM at the Whitehall Clubhouse, 1527 Whitehall Drive, Davie, FL 33324.
