WILLIAMS Burton Douglas, passed away suddenly on May 16, 2003 at the age of 72. At the time, he was doing what he enjoyed most playing table games with family and friends. Doug is survived by his devoted and loving wife Neysa; five children Randy (and wife KC), Tony (and wife Maureen), Cory, Greg (and wife Heather), and Sherry (and partner John); nine grandchildren Chad, Kyle, Natalie, Curtis, Anthony, Angie, Jessica, Adam and Rachel; and one great-grandchild Alyssa. Doug served the country he loved as a member of the Royal Canadian Air Force for 20 years. He was a successful Calgary businessman and entrepreneur in furniture and appliances retailing for 30 years. In the early 1950's Doug represented Canada in swimming competitions. He loved athletics and thoroughly enjoyed his time on the basketball court, swimming pool and golf course. Doug lived life to its fullest and received everything that life offers. Doug was loved by all he touchedand will be sorely missed by family and friends. A service will be held at 3:30 p.m. Thursday, May 22 at First Memorial, 1155 Fort Street in Victoria with family and friends gathering to celebrate his life.
