September 20, 1942 - June 2, 2012 Bruce William Morrison passed away on Saturday, June 2, 2012 in Surrey, BC surrounded by his family. He is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Beverley; his children Kathrine (Earl) Versteeg, Grant (Errin) Morrison, Alix (Jonathan) Cote, Ellen (Chris Croy) Morrison; his sisters Pam (Bob) Marchand, Margo (Lloyd) Robbie; his 9 grandchildren; and many other extended family and friends. He was predeceased by his parents, Bill and Helen Morrison; and young brother Grant. Bruce was born on September 20, 1942 in Victoria, BC and moved to the lower mainland with his family to pursue his rewarding career in banking. He was a great baseball player, passionate golfer, avid curler and unsuccessful fisherman. He never caught a fish in 20 years at Lake Tyee. He was most proud of his children whom he raised to be caring and considerate. We will always remember him for the way he treated people, his genuine love for life and his caring and interest in his family. He was a man of integrity, compassion and most of all, humble. But more than that, he was able to turn a room around with a quick witted statement. He will be deeply missed by all and will always remain in our hearts. The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff at Laurel Place Hospice and SMH Tertiary Palliative Care who provide outstanding care for patients and family.
