Bruce Ashley Carter, age 31, of Milton, FL, lost his 14-month battle with cancer on May 29, 2013. He was born in Pensacola, FL on Jun 18, 1981. His family and close friends surrounded him. Bruce fought hard, refusing to give up, even at the very end. Bruce grew up in Pace and graduated from Pace High School in 1999. He moved to Milton in 2003, and while living in Milton he enjoyed spending time at the creek, four-wheeler riding, and mud riding. Bruce was a wonderful father, loving husband, and great friend.Survivors include his beloved wife, Jessica; their 11 years old son, Mason; and 8 year old daughter, Autumn; his mother, Beverly (Reno) Adkins; father, Larry Carter; brother, Ryan (Mignon) Carter; niece, Allison Carter, and many other aunts, uncles, cousins and loving friends.His soul has moved on to heaven, but his spirit continues on in this world in the hearts and memories in all who were blessed enough to know him. There isn't a day that will go by that he will not be missed. Memorial services will be Saturday, June 8, 2013 at 2 p.m. at the National Cremation & Burial Society. Inurnment will follow in Memory Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1 p.m. until the service hour.
