Brian R. Smith died suddenly on Saturday, July 7, 2012. He was 18 years old. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at St. Matthew the Apostle Roman Catholic Church in Randolph, N.J., on Saturday, July 21, 2012, at 1 p.m. The interment was private. Arrangements are by the Tuttle Funeral Home, www.Tuttlefh.com Born in New Brunswick, N.J., Brian lived in Bridgewater, N.J., before moving to Randolph, N.J., 15 years ago. He was the beloved son of Kathy (Lange) Smith and Richard Smith. He was a member of Boy Scout Troop 50 and was a recent graduate of Randolph High School. He was predeceased by his identical twin, Kevin, who died from cancer at the age of 9, and he is survived by his parents, Richard and Kathy (Lange) Smith, and his sister, Sarah. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to the Brian Smith Memorial Fund. Money from this "designated fund" will be awarded to a graduating RHS senior going into military service and also provide a summer campership for Troop 50, of which Brian was a member and had earned the rank of Life Scout.
