Davis, Brian JamesDec. 13, 1969 - Jan. 20, 2010Brian James Davis, 40, of Sarasota died Jan. 20, 2010.Visitation will be from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, with a funeral Mass to follow, at St. Martha Catholic Church. Toale Brothers Funeral Home, Colonial Chapel, is handling arrangements. Survivors include his wife, Shannon Kathleen; daughters Brinn Kathleen and Reeghan Kathleen; brothers Ric and Mitch; and his parents, Jim and Sandee.Police Sgt. Brian J. Davis was a loving father and husband, a distinguished police supervisor and leader of the Sarasota Police SWAT Team. Brian was extremely active in athletics, and was the head coach for many community organizations. He is remembered by his family -- spouse, daughters, brothers and parents.Memorial contributions may be made to the Sarasota Municipal Employees Credit Union, payable to Shannon K. Davis.
