Brenda Smith PAULINE, SC-- Brenda Patterson Smith, 62, of 5890 Highway 215, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, January 20, 2012 at Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home. Born in Clinton, she was the wife of Robert Paul Smith, Jr. and daughter of Oscar Leroy Patterson of Woodruff and the late Nora Lee Gossett Patterson and stepdaughter of Sarah Patterson of Woodruff. Mrs. Smith was a homemaker and member of Mt. Calvary Presbyterian Church in Walnut Grove. Surviving, in addition to her husband, father and stepmother, is a son, Todd Smith and wife, Dora of Slidell, LA; a daughter, Tammy Lindsey and husband, Jeff of Pauline; two brothers, Michael Patterson and wife, Beth of Atlanta, GA, and David Patterson and wife, Dawn of Woodruff; a sister, Lynn Jackson and husband, Anthony of Greenville; six grandchildren, Amber Lindsey, Robin Lindsey, Charis Smith, Carie Smith, Samuel Smith and Carolina Smith; a great-grandchild, Isaac Rice. The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 3:00 PM on Sunday, January 22, 2012 at Mt. Calvary Presbyterian Church. Funeral services will immediately follow at 3:00 PM at the Church with Rev. Richard Thomas and Pastor Todd Smith officiating. Interment will be in the Mt. Calvary Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
