Brenda Smith 5/01/1948 - 1/27/2011 GAFFNEY, SC-- Brenda Ann Smith, 62, of 498 Lockhart Lane, Gaffney, passed away Thursday, January 27, 2011, at Upstate Carolina Medical Center in Gaffney. She was born in Cherokee County, SC, on May 1, 1948, to the late Carl Richards and Callie Scates Richards. She was a homemaker. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband William Boyd Smith; son, Timothy Boyd Smith; two brothers, Gene and Howard Richards; and two sisters, Ola and Louise. She is survived by two sons, William Lee Smith and wife Debbie and Alexander Boyd Smith; two daughters, Reba Ann Henderson and husband Robert and Karen Lynn Smith; brother, Gary Richards; three sisters, Bobbie Tessneer, Sandra Owens, and Florence Smith; nine grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Saturday, January 29, 2011, at Stamey Funeral Home, Fallston, NC. Funeral Services will be at 2:00 PM, Sunday, at Stamey Funeral Home Chapel, Fallston. Interment will be at Rose Hill Memorial Park, Fallston. Condolences may be made online at www.stameyfuneralhome.com. Arrangements by Stamey Funeral Home, Fallston.
