SMITH, Brenda Jean On Thursday, August 11th, 2011, after a courageous battle with cancer at the Pontiac Community Hospital, Palliative Care Unit. Brenda Jean Smith beloved daughter of the late Reuben Smith and the late Jessie Durrell Smith. Loving sister of Barbara (Don) Mair, Durrell (Karen), Brian (Joan), and Bob (Laurel). Cherished aunt to Doug (Valerie), Greg (Laurie), Ian (Shelley), Todd (Julie) Mair; Lisa (Roland Falasconi), Tricia, Tanya (Steve Viau); Meegan (Norm Durocher), Melissa (Piero Nicastro), Robert (Christy) Smith, Ashley (Ryan Johnston), great-aunt to 17 nieces and nephews and special friend to John Marykuca. She was Aunt "B" to many in the community. Brenda will be dearly missed by everyone she met on her life's journey. She was the owner of "B's" Restaurant, Past President of the Shawville Lionettes, and recipient of the Rotary Club - Paul Harris Award. Friends may call at the W.J. Hayes & Sons Funeral Home, 134 Centre Street, Shawville, Quebec on Saturday, August 13, 2011 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. and on Sunday from noon to service time. Funeral Sunday to Shawville United Church for Service at 2 p.m. Interment Maple Grove Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy in memoriam donations may be made to the Pontiac Community Hospital Foundation-Day Medicine or Dialysis Fund or Shawville United Church. www.hayesfuneralhome.ca
