Brenda Sharpe Edwards - SAVANNAH - Brenda Sharpe Edwards, 63, passed in her home Saturday August 13, 2011 embraced by loving family, friends, and Odyssey Health Care hospice nursesÉÉ.. Ms. Edwards was born on born June 17, 1948 in Savannah, Ga. and raised on Isle of Hope in the home her father built. Ms. Edwards was a very caring, loving, and understanding wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister. She was very devoted to her family. She took care of her father and mother when they became ill. Ms. Edwards was never a judgmental person, she believed everyone deserved a second chance, and always had an open door policy. Ms. Edwards was just a down home, loving, simple kind of person. Ms. Edwards was an avid bowler for many years. She won many awards and a state championship in the 1970's female division. Ms. Edwards was also a member of Savannah Moose Lodge where she played Bingo every Tuesday and Friday night. Ms. Edwards enjoyed crabbing, fishing, crafts, sewing, and making clothes. She made the most beautiful dolls. She enjoyed chasing her grandchildren around and spending time with family. Ms. Edwards is preceded in death by her father Oliver Cromwell Sharpe, mother Vera Whittmen Sharpe. Husband James Larry Edwards and two sisters, Lydia Suddath, Carolyn Regan head. Ms. Edwards is survived by her only Child Brendalee Snethen Sancomb (Shawn Sancomb). Grandchildren; Ericka Daniel (Henry Diaz), Timothy Daniel, and Tamatha Snethen (Tecia) Great granddaughter Kayleigh Rain Daniel. Also survived by sister and brothers. Elizabeth Hill, Harriette Grant, Anna Damboise, Oliver Sharpe Jr. (Carolyn), Walter Sharpe (Helen), Veramae Britten (Bill), Louise Sharpe( Gail), Mary Arrington (Rommie). Foster Brother Harold Williams, forty six nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews. Family would like to thank Odyssey Home Health Hospices nurses and CNA's Ginger, Susan, Catherine and also thank Jenny for becoming a part of our family and for a wonderful job well done.
