Feb. 27, 1950 - July 22, 2011 Brenda Gail Mitchell, 61, of Huntsville died at home Friday. She is survived by her husband, Steve Mitchell; son, Anthony Mitchell of Huntsville; daughter, Donna Mitchell of Houston; brothers, Jim Griggs of Union Grove and Donald Griggs of Melvindale, Mich.; sisters, Carolyn Boone of Birmingham and Joyce Richardson of Poulsbo, Wash.; stepbrothers, Thomas Quillan and Tim Quillan, both of Union Grove; stepsister, Joyce Hardy of Union Grove; and eight grandchildren. Arrangements are entrusted to Spry Funeral Home of Huntsville, where the family will receive friends today from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Sunday. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow at Maple Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to CCI Cancer Research.
