Springfield- Mrs. Brenda Leigh Morgan Mitchell, 46, died May 24, 2009 at the Effingham County Hospital. Mrs. Mitchell was an Effingham County native, a homemaker and member of Turkey Branch Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband, Greg Mitchell, two daughters; Jessica Carter of Guyton and Crystal Farmer of Rincon, a brother, William Morgan of Springfield, two sisters, Kathleen Joyner of Springfield and Mary Frances Sanders of Forsyth, GA and a grandson, Chandler Tripp Hagan of Rincon. Visitation will be Thursday evening, May 28, 2009, from 6-8 p.m. at Riggs Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held Friday, May 29, 2009 at 11 a.m. at Turkey Branch Baptist Church, with Rev. Al Usher officiating. Internment will follow in the church cemetery.
