WHITBURN, Brenda Katheleen July 23, 1942 - April 27, 2008 Brenda Whitburn of Calgary passed away on Sunday, April 27, 2008 at the age of 65 years, after a courageous battle with cancer. Brenda immigrated to Canada at the age of twelve years. She was an accomplished gardener, specializing in roses. Besides her husband John, Brenda is survived by her children, David Whitburn, and Katheleen and Kevin Mazurek, all of Calgary; and grandchildren, Dalton, Alyssa, Cameron, Kiera, and Andrew. She is also survived by two brothers, Gerry and Pat Smith of Edmonton, Bill and Irma Smith of Saskatoon; three sisters, Sheila and Henry Smith of Calgary, Susan and Ben Jillett of Oakville, ON, and Pearl Smith of Nelson, New Zealand; and many other relatives and friends.She was predeceased by her parents Sydney and Josephine. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Gerard's Catholic Church (8944 Elbow Drive S.W.) on Monday, May 12, 2008 at 10:30 a.m. Graveside Service to follow at Eden Brook Memorial Gardens.
