?Brenda Franklin Davis died Tuesday, Jan. 19, 2010. There will be no funeral because her wishes were to have her body donated to science. Brenda was a good person and she never met a stranger. She opened her home to young people because they made her feel young again. Her death was a shock to her family, although she had not been feeling very well for the past few days. I hope she finds the peace she has been looking for. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph L. Davis; father and mother, Claude and Lucille Franklin; eight brothers; and nephew, Chris Winn. She is survived by her sister, with whom she lived, Betty Barfield; nephew, Brian Winn; daughter, Sherry Wright, Attalla; son, Heath Sanders, Tennessee; brothers, Roger (Terry) Franklin and Jerry (Helen) Franklin; grandchildren, Sommar, Lauren and Shawn Wright, Ragland; a lady she said would always be her mother-in-law, Peggy Sanders Woods, Ragland; and her dog "Precious." In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Humane Society.
