Brenda transitioned to eternal life on August 9, 2014. She was preceded in death by her parents Douglas and Mary Banks; Brothers Frederick, Charles, and Leo Banks; and Sister Sherry Banks. She leaves to cherish her memories a devoted family, former husband, Melvin Jackson; four devoted children, Terry Jackson, Katonya (Marcus) Wilson, Arnita Jackson, and Niaisha (Lawrence) Roberts; eleven beloved grandchildren, Crystal, Marquez, Samaria, Raneisha, Marcus, Jr., Micqual, Keiuntea, Tyhorace, Jaxon, Elle, and Jamison; nine beloved great grandchildren, Saniya, Demetrius, Ryion, Jwaun, Rylee, Amiya, Raphael, Alexis, and Ashton; four devoted brothers, Douglas D. Banks Jr., Bobby Banks, Joe (Janice) Banks, and Cedrick (Janice) Banks; seven devoted sisters, Mirland J. Nettles, Cleo Adair, Gertrude Banks, Joyce Banks, Mary E. Banks, Veronica (Kermit)Packer, and Brandie Collins; one aunt, Idell Carter; a host of devoted nieces, nephews, and friends. Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 16, 2014 at Nazaree Full Gospel Church, Mobile, AL., from 1 p.m. until to the 2 p.m. Funeral Hour. Bishop Joseph Phillips, Pastor and Officiating Minister. Interment will follow in the Whispering Pines Cemetery, Whistler, AL. Arrangements are entrusted to the careful direction of Reese Funeral Home 925 S. Bessemer Ave. Prichard, AL.
