Brenda Kay Collins, 70, of Hixson, Tenn., passed away Friday, July 12, 2013 in a local hospital.She was a member of the Norwood Baptist Church in Oliver Springs.Mrs. Collins was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest and Reba Purdy.She is survived by her husband, John R. Collins, Sr.; sons, John R. Collins and wife Julie and William H. Collins and wife Leslie of Chattanooga; daughter, Suzanne Michelle Neal Collins (Jerry Neal, Jr.) Derryberry of Kingston; and two grandchildren.The family received friends Monday, July 15, 2013 from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Hamilton Funeral Home in Hixson, Tenn. and Tuesday, July 16, 2013 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Sharp Funeral Home, Oliver Springs. The funeral followed at 7 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Steve McDonald officiating. Burial and graveside services will be held Wednesday, July 17, 2013 at 11 a.m. in Oak Ridge Memorial Park.
