Bonnie Stoufer Hunt Young Bonnie Young was born on October 10, 1927, in Macks Creek, Missouri, to Clarence L. and Sarah Francis (Parrack) Stoufer, and died in her home surrounded by loved ones on April 23, 2009. On September 6, 1945, she was married to Lawrence Ross Hunt. Bonnie spent most of the early years of their marriage in Windsor, Missouri. While living in Windsor, Bonnie spent several years working at the MFA Produce House as the bookkeeper. She and Ross were Charter Members of Calvery Baptist Church when it was built in 1958. In 1963, they moved and made their home in Warsaw. Many of the years in Warsaw, Bonnie worked at Unitog as a Quality Control Inspector. After Ross left employment with the Missouri State Highway Department due to health reasons, they made their home in Climax Springs, Missouri. Ross passed away on September 1, 1982. On January 3, 1985, Bonnie was married to Hoyt Young of Macks Creek. Bonnie and Hoyt were members of the First Baptist Church of Macks Creek. Bonnie became a licensed Real Estate Agent for Hoyt Young Realty as well as farm wife. They moved to Springfield in 1998. Bonnie excelled in many areas in her lifetime but two of the most important were being a wonderful mother and wife. Besides her parents and her first husband, Bonnie was preceded in death by five brothers and one sister. Surviving her are her husband, Hoyt; three daughters, Connie Dickinson of Peculiar, Sue Wham and her husband, Wade of Eufaula, Oklahoma, and Dee Anne Bremer and her husband, Jim of Springfield, Missouri; three step-daughters, Jan Clark of Rogers, Arkansas, Sharon Cyrus and her husband, Dale of Springfield, Missouri, and Sarah Young of Tucson, Arizona; one step-son, John Young and his companion, Vicki; five grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Bessie Laughlin of Macks Creek, Missouri, Beulah Owsley of Shawnee Mission, Kansas, and Berniece Stoufer of Kansas City, Missouri; two brothers, Karl and his wife, Terry, and Don and his wife, Ruth, all of the Macks Creek area; and many nieces, nephews and in-laws. Bonnie will be sadly missed and by all who knew her. Services will be held on Sunday, April 26 at 2 p.m., in Hedges-Scott Funeral Home, in Macks Creek, Missouri. Visitation will be at 1 p.m., for an hour preceding the service. Burial will be in Pleasant Grove Cemetery. The family would like to send their special thanks to Dr. Lavanya Tiraveedhi and her nurse, Jeannie, the staff of St. John's 7D and to Community Hospice for the wonderful care Bonnie received.
