Bonnie Jean Albright Died - October 15, 2010 St. George, UT - Bonnie Jean Albright, age 69, passed away Friday, October 15, 2010. Bonnie first made contact with The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints through missionaries tracking door-to-door. She and Richard were baptized in Scarsdale, New York. It was a very cold New England day when Bonnie made an appointment to visit with the missionaries. After convincing her husband it was the right thing to do, the missionary discussions were received, and their baptisms occurred 10 days later, on March 16, 1968. She loved the Savior deeply, read the scriptures daily. In later years with failing eyesight as the result of many years of diabetes, she would listen to the Book of Mormon on Tape, and church conference daily. Bonnie had a beautiful voice, served as ward chorister, primary secretary, primary president, counselor in state Relief Society, Relief Society Teacher, spoke on many occasions at ward sacraments, and state conferences. She also taught Gospel Doctrine for nearly 12 years. Counselor ward Relief Society, teacher trainer, temple ordinance worker, temple trainer, and supervisor in Temple Baptistery. Although raised along Connecticut's south shore and spending many hours swimming in the ocean, she loved St. George. With several opportunities to return to Connecticut she just could not leave Utah. The St. George Temple was a focal point in her life; serving five years as a Temple Ordinance Worker. Her genealogy research was extensive, with thousands of family names. She was able to, on one line, return to the year 1100. Bonnie served a proselyting mission with her eternal companion, Richard, in Seattle, Washington. First serving in Granite Falls, Washington, located in the Cascade Mountains, later transferring to Renton, Washington, where they served extensively in low income areas. Although finding some of her experiences frightening in areas that were dangerous, she never the less followed her husband wherever they would go in search of Father's sheep. To know Bonnie , her sweet spirit, her love for the Savior and his children, would leave a lasting impression on you. She will be missed greatly by her family they look forward to one day being with her again.
